I’m Eliana, a writer and editor currently residing in Dublin, Ireland, although I’m originally from a suburban town just outside of Chicago.
My desire to be a writer predates my recall abilities; I have simply always been one. In my fifth grade school yearbook, we were prompted to answer this looming question: “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
I answered, in the handwriting of a ten year old: “a writer”.
Nothing has changed.
I have since stretched myself past fantastical short stories scribbled into spiral notebooks, but my ethos remains the same. I’ve written and edited for school and university newspapers, specialising in long-form features and commentary, with a focus on human interest stories, travel, gender, and culture. In 2021 I graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a degree in English literature, and have since worked in customer service while maintaining my passion for writing through freelance work.
